I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
If you’re a foodie in Arizona, you know some of the best restaurants in the state are in the Phoenix metro area. From fine-dining restaurants to small hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop eateries, there’s something for everyone. I love discovering new restaurants in and around the city. There’s just an overwhelming number of dining establishments here. But today’s focus is the best burgers in Arizona, and some of the best can be found at a hole-in-the-wall eatery in Phoenix.
Located in a strip mall at the corner of N. 19th Ave. and W. Thunderbird Rd., Lucky's Burgers & Shakes is a hole-in-the-wall eatery serving some of the best burgers in the state.
If you consider yourself a burger aficionado and haven't tried Lucky's Burgers yet, I urge you to go. Everything is made to order and absolutely delicious.
While the interior of Lucky's is simple, the walls of the dining room are adorned with vintage-style signage, giving it a bit of a funky vibe. When you arrive, step right up to the counter to place your order for dining in or to go.
Of course, it's not just burgers here at Lucky's. After all, it's Lucky's Burgers and Shakes! And with 15 flavors, including Oreo, peanut butter, and pineapple, ordering a shake here is a must.
Lucky’s Burgers & Shakes is located at 13849 N 19th Ave. in Phoenix. If you’d like to place an order ahead of time for pickup, call (602) 314-5214.
Have you visited this burger joint before? If so, tell us about your experience in the comments.
If you consider yourself a foodie or love finding new places to dine around Phoenix, I highly suggest taking a food tour. You can book the Downtown Phoenix Food Tour, for example, on Viator.
