Outside of work, you can likely find her curled up on with a hot cup of coffee, practicing yoga, baking, or exploring the beautiful Lone Star State (in particular, the vast and mystical West Texas desert).
Hiding in a remote corner of Monument Valley is a lightly-trafficked area of Native American ruins, naturally-formed arches, and towering box canyons. It’s truly a shame how unknown this mysterious stretch of desert is. Check it out:
Nearly 1,000 years ago, the Puebloan people occupied Mystery Valley. Around half a millennia later, the area was claimed by the Navajo tribe who currently reside there.
Two of the world's most powerful forces — wind and water — have shaped these rock walls. Geologists speculate this entire landscape was once underwater, allowing erosion to create the beautiful formations in existence today.
Several different arches were formed with such precision and accuracy, you'll swear humans had a hand in their creation. It's truly awe-inspiring to see what Mother Nature is capable of.
Ruins of the ancient peoples can still be seen all over the valley. We assume this is a former dwelling that still hasn't yet succumbed to the harsh desert elements.
Due to the land's sacred nature, prospective visitors must first hire a Navajo guide. You can do so at the nearby Monument Valley Visitor Center, which is located at U.S. 163 Scenic, Oljato-Monument Valley, AZ 84536.
