Factors like emotional & physical well-being, income & employment, and community & environment were used to determine the rankings, so this list is for you if those things are an important part of your decision-making process!
Topping the list, Scottsdale was ranked #14 in the entire country. It received at 54 in physical & emotional well-being, a 27 in income&+ employment, and a 6 in community & environment. The city also has the second-highest rate of participation in recreational activities in the nation.
Gilbert got a 60 in the first category, 13 in the second, and 23 in the last. It also had the second lowest divorce rate in the U.S.

Chandler, a beautiful valley city that's great for families to settle in, was awarded a 66 in well-being, 29 in finances, and 45 in community. The people here are so friendly that it's nearly impossible to be unhappy!

With scores of 73, 49, and 21 in the respective categories, Peoria clocked in at #42 in America. With historic buildings, beautiful hiking trails, and high graduation rates, there's little not to love about this gem of a town.

Known for its year-round warmth and sunshine, Phoenix's metropolitan area has been deemed 'Valley of the Sun." If happiness can't be found in a place like that, I'm not sure where to look! It received scores of 84, 141, and 153, putting it on the list at #122.

With 350 days of sunshine per year, Tucson is basically the definition of happiness. It was #131 on the list, with scores of 104 in the first category, 121 in the second, and 160 in the third. It's surrounded by multiple mountain ranges and filled with restored mansions, adobe row houses, and a plethora of vintage shops.
