Despite being landlocked, Arizona has plenty of tropical oases. One such place is The Monastery, a paradisaical, beach-themed restaurant where you can grill your very own dinner. Check it out:
Open since 1969, The Monastery has been an exotic tropical paradise right here in Arizona. An adobe-style house with umbrella tables and sand, it's a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Plenty of indoor seating is available as well. Choose from over 50 on-tap craft, domestic, and import beers in addition to plenty of other adult beverages.
Live music plays on an almost nightly basis. Come experience some of Arizona's best bands, or even get in the spotlight yourself and sing some karaoke!
Grill your very own cheeseburger, chicken, veggie patty, or sirloin steak. Other popular menu items include sandwiches, salads, pizza, and jumbo soft pretzels with cheese sauce for dipping.
You'll find The Monastery at 4810 E McKellips Rd, Mesa, AZ 85215. Hours are 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday + Saturday.
Have you ever eaten at The Monastery? Are there any other restaurants in Arizona where you can grill your own food? Let us know your favorites! For another tropical place to dine, check out Aloha Kitchen.
