Even the Grand Canyon, one of the most heavily trafficked national parks in the country, has its fair share of hidden gems. Most of them are on the North Rim, which sees much fewer crowds than its southern counterpart. Bright Angel Point is a scenic overlook in Arizona that offers some of the best views in the entire state, and many people don’t even know it exists.

What are some fun things to do outside in Arizona?
Arizona is one of those states where you can do almost anything you set your mind to outdoors. It’s an amazing state for those who enjoy getting outside and doing things, for sure. There are so many options that it’s hard to list all of them, but some of the most popular things to do outside in Arizona include camping (there are literally thousands of established campgrounds, campsites, and more – and that doesn’t even include the incredible amount of places you can experience dispersed camping in), hunting, fishing, boating (there are more than 20 amazing lakes in the Copper State), plentiful hiking (there is more than 800 miles of trails all over the state), and more. We also really love the simpler things, like walking through the Desert Botanical Garden or enjoying any of our amazing state parks.
What are the best hiking trails in Arizona?
As we said a moment ago, Arizona and its great outdoors are world-famous, and for good reason; this includes the hiking trails! There are tons of them – more than 800 miles, to be exact – but each is truly amazing in its own ways. Some of the most popular (and thus, arguably the “best”) hiking trails in Arizona include Bright Angel Trail, which takes you down into the Grand Canyon for some views that will surely blow you away. If you’re a fan of canyons, red rocks, and blue skies, try your hand (or feet?) at almost any trail in Sedona; that town is known around the world for its incredible natural beauty, and the trails out there, like Bell Rock Loop and Cathedral Rock, are second to none. In Flagstaff, we love Kachina Trail, which is nearby Snowbowl on the San Fransisco Peaks. In Phoenix, we love Camelback Mountain and Deems Hill.
