I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
One of my favorite parts about living where I do is discovering all the hidden gems I never would have if I was just visiting. Through friends and family members who have lived in Phoenix and Scottsdale longer than I have, I’ve found incredible restaurants, cafes, bars, and more. I love having the experience of living like a local and sharing with others who are visiting. Some of the best places in town are found in the most unassuming buildings. Take, for example, a gas station in North Scottsdale that’s also home to one of the best breakfast spots in town. Welcome to the Cafe at Pinnacle Peak!
Located at 8711 E Pinnacle Peak Rd. in Scottsdale, maybe you’ve stopped to get gas here. However, did you ever notice the building just steps away from the gas pumps? Well, it houses one of the best breakfast spots in town!
The Village at Pinnacle Peak is home to a gas station and a general store complete with a post office. It may seem odd, although completely awesome, that there’s a restaurant right at this gas station general store!
Head inside and there's a lot to look at! Between the post office counter and all the goods for sale, there are tables where you can have a seat and enjoy a meal. I hope you love the old-fashioned ambiance here as much as I do!
While breakfast and lunch are served here, I have only ever been to the Cafe at Pinnacle Peak (or the General Store, as it's referred to by locals) for breakfast. And it is delicious!
Order your coffee or a juice then dive into the breakfast menu. What'll it be? Perhaps an Egg Platter Special, the French Toast Special, or a Breakfast Burrito (which I highly recommend)?
Whatever you order, just know it'll be tasty and the portions sizable. Bringing an appetite here is a must!
Have you dined at the Cafe at Pinnacle Peak before? This unassuming restaurant in Arizona is one of my top picks! To learn more and to see a menu, head to the Village at Pinnacle Peak website and give the Village at Pinnacle Peak Facebook page a follow.
