Arizona has no shortage of beautiful places to visit, but most require an entrance fee. While we certainly aren’t complaining about that (it’s how the areas stay beautiful, after all), discounts are always appreciated. This year, National Public Lands Day falls on September 28, 2019, which means admission to any national park is totally free! Where will you go first?

National Public Lands Day was established in 1994 and is held annually on the fourth Saturday of September.

It is by far the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort.
This special day celebrates and reinforces the importance of the intimate connection between people and nature.

It also encourages looking after the environment as well as use of public outdoor spaces for education, recreation, and health.
Here in Arizona, we have three national parks: the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, and Saguaro.
