Arizona has no shortage of beautiful places to visit, but most require an entrance fee. While we certainly aren’t complaining about that (it’s how the areas stay beautiful, after all), discounts are always appreciated. This year, National Public Lands Day falls on September 28, 2019, which means admission to any national park is totally free! Where will you go first?
National Public Lands Day was established in 1994 and is held annually on the fourth Saturday of September.
Our state also has 21 additional units operated by the National Park Service, including monuments, memorials, historic sites, trails, and recreation areas.

If you do take advantage of this incredible opportunity, the National Park Service would love for you to post about it on social media! Use the hashtags #NPSVolunteer, #FindYourPark, and/or #NPLD to showcase your gratitude for the preservation of our breathtaking lands.
Did you know about National Public Lands Day? If so, are you going to participate this year? What park will you visit?
