While there are plenty of Mexican restaurants around the state, there's something quite special about Elmer's Tacos. Elmer himself was born in Sonora, Mexico and, after working for several restaurants around Los Angeles, decided to open up his own.

Sometime after moving to Arizona, he opened up Elmer's Tacos. The year was 1974 and remains family-owned and operated to this day. Not only do customers continuously come back for the excellent regional fare but for the affordable prices and friendly service.

One regional specialty you can order here at Elmer's beefy frybread. Homemade from scratch every single day, the fry bread is light and delicious and topped with beans, lettuce, cheese, and your choice of meat. Yum!
