I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Tucked away in the White Mountains is the enchanting community of Alpine. This tiny place may be one of the best places to enjoy autumn in Arizona. With the leaves turning colors and the cool crisp air, it’s such a wonderful part of the state to get outdoors and explore! Do yourself a favor and head to Alpine, Arizona for a fall adventure.
Alpine is located in the White Mountains in a stunning part of the state. It's remote and known for its mountain lakes, Ponderosa pines, aspen trees, and natural beauty. If you love the outdoors, you'll love it here.

Crescent Lake is another lake in the Alpine area. Located just a couple of miles away from Big Lake, it sits at an elevation of 9,000 feet and is another excellent fishing lake, if that's your thing. Boating is another option at this lake as well, so long as the boat is non-motorized or has a gas engine under 10 hp.
Aside from the natural attractions around Alpine, there are a few dining options in town. One great place to check out is Foxfire at Alpine. This rural restaurant in Arizona is so worth the drive!
Not only does Foxfire at Alpine offer a variety of delicious dishes like pizza, salmon, chicken fried steak, burgers, and sandwiches but a dining area filled with local art as well as live music.
