‘Tis the season for merriment, shopping, gathering with friends and loved ones, and festivities. What are some of your favorite holiday events in Arizona? I happen to love them all! If you’ve ever been to Prescott during the Christmas season, you can see why it has been named the official Christmas City of Arizona. From the storefronts all decked out downtown to the lighting of the historic Yavapai County Courthouse, there’s no shortage of Christmas spirit here. And to top that all off, entering its second year, the Christkindl Market in Prescott makes Arizona’s official Christmas city even more festive. This Christmas market in Prescott, AZ is a wonderful addition to the holiday festivities.
Known as Arizona's Christmas City, Prescott is the place to celebrate the holiday season. While its biggest event is the annual Courthouse Lighting, there was another holiday event added to the city's roster in 2022.
Residents and visitors can enjoy a little bit of Europe with this German-style Christmas market right here in Prescott over the course of three days in December.
On market days, you can shop for unique gifts, trinkets, and ornaments. Santa and the Christkind Angel will be around, horse-drawn carriage rides will be available, and there will be live music.
This year marks the second annual Christmas Village & Christkindl Market in Prescott. Admission is free, however, food, beverages, rides, etc. will be available for purchase.
It will be held Friday, Dec. 15th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 16th from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 17th from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Don't forget to try all of the German-style food, treats, and drinks. Sink your teeth into a Bavarian pretzel or spend some time in the Bier & Mulled Wine Garten. 'Tis the season!
