We might have loved sleeping through classes as young children, but our teachers weren’t very fond of it. However, there’s a hotel in Arizona where you can do exactly that! Noftsger Hill Inn is a century-old former elementary school, evidence of which can be clearly seen inside. Guest rooms are complete with chalkboards, erasers, and plenty of academic memorabilia guaranteed to deliver a hefty dose of nostalgia.
Built in 1907, this stately building in Globe used to be an elementary school. Important figureheads like former Arizona Governor Rose Mofford studied here, and their memories linger in the air to this day.
Fading class photographs and old report cards hang on the walls, documenting the thousands of academic careers that began behind these doors.
The grand entryway of Noftsger Hill Inn is filled with collectibles that leave no room for guesswork about the inn's past. Globes, flashcards, and other classroom artifacts are guaranteed to bring back memories of your own school days.
It's easy to picture children skipping down these halls, lunchbox in hand and prepared to fill their brains with knowledge.

You'll sleep in converted classrooms, with evidence of what subjects were taught written all over the walls - literally. Chalkboards scribbled with arithmetic, phonics, or Spanish conjugations make the experience so much more realistic.
Each room has a different theme, the essence of which is flawlessly captured with the carefully-selected decor. There's no doubt that a Victorian style was the desired for this suite.
Don't worry, there's no "boy, girl, boy, girl" seating rule here - but tardiness might earn you detention (or at least leave you hungry).
A gourmet breakfast is cooked every morning by owner Rosalie Ayala. Huge spreads include eggs, homemade hash browns, pastries, fresh fruit, and other staples.
This definitely tastes better than what school cafeterias serve!
Given Noftsger Hill Inn's extensive history, we'd be surprised if it wasn’t haunted. Stories of tiny footsteps and high-pitched laughter abound, so don't be surprised if you experience some playful paranormal activity.
According to Rosalie and former guests, all of the spirits are as friendly as can be. Curl up with a scary story and steaming mug of coffee, letting your imagination run wild with what could be playing hide-and-seek in the shadows.

Floor-to-ceiling picture windows provide unparalleled views of the surrounding landscape. Front rooms look out over the picturesque Pinal Mountains, while rear-facing suites afford guests a glimpse of the historic Old Dominion Mine.
