When a restaurant has been around for as long as Tucson’s El Torero, that’s a pretty good indication it’s doing something right. Since 1956, this cherished eatery has been serving up some of the most mouthwatering Mexican food in Arizona, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s home. Grab a table and come see what all the hype is about – your taste buds won’t regret it.
Traditional artwork, dim lighting, and kitschy neon signs impart the cozy feel we all know and love, while new equipment and an updated interior allow the restaurant to better serve the community.

The cuisine is a mixture of nostalgic favorites and modern, chef-driven specials, so there's something to please every palate.
Pictured here is the "2 x 2," El Torero's most celebrated dish. The meal includes two beef patty tacos and two cheese enchiladas, with rice and beans available for an extra $3.50.

If you're in the mood for a hearty bowl of soup, there are several different options on the menu.
From Albondigas (a traditional Mexican meatball soup) to chicken and rice and everything in between, each bowl is slow-cooked with flavorful spices and even more love.
