I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Want to take your special person out on the town in Phoenix? With so many amazing restaurants and bars, the options seem endless. However, if you want to do something a bit different, how about a speakeasy? Located in an office building in downtown Phoenix is the Trophy Room — it’s one speakeasy in Arizona that’s perfect for a date night!
There are so many incredible establishments hidden in the most unassuming places. One such place is a speakeasy that would make a great date night destination if that's what you're after.
To discover the Trophy Room, you must make your way to Renaissance Square, a high-rise office building located at 2 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix, AZ. Once you find it, you'll discover a stunning intimate space that only serves cocktails.
When you arrive at the Trophy Room, there are rules to follow. For one, no phones or cameras are allowed inside. Locked storage is provided so no one is tempted to take photos.
I happen to love the no-phones-allowed idea because it prevents us from looking at our devices and, instead, take in the ambiance, enjoy cocktails, and converse with your date without the distraction. The disconnection from our phones truly allows us to connect with those we came here with.
Looking around the Trophy Room, you'll notice chandeliers made of bullets and rifles which just add to the unique ambiance.
Trophy Room reservations are limited to 90 minutes. Upon your reservation, a pre-payment of $25 per person is required and will go towards the purchase of beverages during your visit.
As the Trophy Room only offers cocktails and no food, it is suggested you make a dinner reservation at Wren & Wolf beforehand. Wren & Wolf is located in the same office building and you can actually access the speakeasy from here.
Have you ever been to this speakeasy in Arizona? Have you dined at Wren & Wolf yet? Let us know! To learn more about the speakeasy hidden away in an office building in downtown Phoenix, visit the Trophy Room website and follow the Trophy Room Facebook page.
