As kids, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory was what we imagined heaven looks like. What if there was a place just as magical right here in Arizona? Cerreta Candy Company is an old-fashioned candy factory that gives visitors an inside look at how all their favorite treats are made. Check it out:
For over 40 years, this family-owned candy factory has been supplying Arizona with handcrafted sweets. Handed down over four generations, the company has only gotten bigger, better, and more delicious as time has passed.
From fudge to chocolate bars and everything in-between, there isn't a type of candy in the world that can't be found here. No matter your age, all who step into this sugary wonderland will feel like a wide-eyed small child.
All sorts of fun fall treats are made daily, so there couldn't be a better time of year to visit. How adorably festive are these caramel apples and monster rice krispie treats?
Watch the magic unfold before your very eyes by taking a tour of the factory. From production to packaging, get a firsthand look at the entire process your favorite sweets go through before making it onto your plate.
Youngsters especially enjoy watching the chocolatiers at work. You'll never forget how their eyes light up as taffy spins and chocolate bars get stamped with the store's name!
They'll even get a chance to put their own skills to the test after bearing witness to the whole shebang. Who knows, maybe there's a future Cerreta employee on your hands!
One of the tour's major highlights is meeting owner Jim Cerreta. He sets an example for his own children and all who visit the factory by coming to work every single day!
