When you think of pretty little towns on a river, you might not think of Arizona. In fact, many people think that our state is all desert and no water! This couldn’t be further from the truth. Take a look at this charming little community right on the Colorado River.
Bullhead City is located just across the Colorado River from Laughlin, Nevada.
Bullhead City takes full advantage of the fact that it sits on the banks of the gorgeous Colorado River. Some folks are even lucky enough to live right on the Colorado!
This park is a great place to spend an afternoon. You can access the beach and river, plus enjoy picnic tables, playground equipment, a dog park and more. The park's address is 1251 AZ-95.
Take a stroll along one of the paved trails that follow the banks of the Colorado River.
This beautiful memorial includes an eternal flame, a wall with more than 3,000 names of the Arizonans who lost their lives in service, and a beautiful pathway along the water with trees, flags, columns and statues.
Take a little excursion to go boating, jet skiing and more.
The Bullhead City Farmers Market is another great community event. It's open once per month in February, March, April and May...then reopens in October.
You can swim laps, join others for a water aerobics class or just play on the waterslide and splash around. The pool is located at Ken Fovargue Park at 2355 Trane Road.
