On October 23 and 24, the 11th-annual Arizona Taco Festival will turn Salt River Fields at the Talking Stick Resort into a fiesta of epic proportions.
Ten people at a time get on stage and devour as many tacos as possible in the allotted time. There's also a hot pepper eating contest for the very bravest of souls!
If you've never had the pleasure of sinking your teeth into a sushi taco, don't let another year pass by without checking it off your foodie bucket list. You'll also have access to a hot sauce tent curated by Vic Clinco, owner of the nation's largest private collection of hot sauces. With some of his hottest and most unique varieties on display, you can rest assured you'll find a new favorite.
One of the most highly anticipated parts of the festival is the tequila, with samples of over 100 different varieties from 30 brands.
To get the most bang for your buck, consider purchasing a "Tequila Passport." At $25 each, these special wristbands include 10 half-ounce samples of your choosing.
Other activities on the schedule include daily Luche Libre performances, a Chihuahua beauty pageant, and live music.
You'll want to remember every delicious second of your visit.
General admission is $14 per person, while VIP tickets – which include a Tequila Passport, five full-size alcoholic beverages, one water or soda, and a private lounge and restrooms – go for $100 each. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here. To learn more, visit the festival’s Facebook page.
