When you’re craving a burger, only the best burgers in Arizona will do. Chicago Hamburger Company in Phoenix is a serious contender for that top spot, serving up the most mouthwatering charbroiled burgers around since the 1980s. You don’t have to travel all the way to Chi-town for those authentic Windy City flavors!
When you eat at Chicago Hamburger Company in Phoenix, the only dead giveaway that you aren't in the Windy City is the vast swath of mountains in the background - otherwise, this old-school joint could easily have you fooled.
The building was originally a convenience store before it became Pete's Chicago Red Hots, a gyro and Italian beef joint. Since the 1980s, however, Chicago Hamburger Company has been a Valley staple for classic Chicago flavors. You don't have to travel nearly 1,800 miles for charbroiled burgers or all-beef Vienna hot dogs!
Equally as memorable as the food is the atmosphere. From the vintage baseball cards and old team photos covering the walls to the concession-stand vibe, you'll feel like you're at a Cubs or White Sox game rather than a restaurant.
Speaking of the food, you'll be hard-pressed to find better all-American fare in the region. There are seven different burgers to choose from, ranging from 1/3 to 2/3-pound, as well as sliders and sandwiches.
Make sure to save room for a little something sweet! The handspun shakes and malts will whisk your taste buds back to simpler times - as will the root beer and Orange Crush floats.
Have you ever been to Chicago Hamburger Company? If so, we’d love to hear all about your experience in the comments! Don’t forget to check out our previous article for another old-fashioned outing in Arizona that will transport you back to the good old days.
