Although our state has outgrown the Classical Revival building, it now serves as the Capitol Museum with pieces of Arizona history up on display. Located at 17th Avenue and Adams Street, the museum presents a historical point of view of our government, as well as a peek int the state library, court chambers, and other areas of the building.

The Heard Museum offers several guided tours but we recommend the "Home: Native People in the Southwest" tour. It guides you through an exhibit featuring the Indigenous people of Arizona and the Southwest, offering you background information behind art, jewelry, and even full-sized home structures.

The old Copper Queen Mine dates back to Arizona’s Territorial days in the 1880s as one of the most productive copper mines in the country. Take a ride on a minecart into the cool abyss (about 47 degrees) from a former miner.
