8 Splash Pads In Arizona To Visit Before Summer’s Over

Splash pads are a fantastic way for your kids (or grandkids) to cool off and stay entertained during an Arizona summer. Since the temperatures aren’t going down any time soon, we thought the kiddos in your life would appreciate a run through one of these fantastic little and not so little splash pads around the state. Also, no need to worry about school already starting up; many of these spots are open through September, so you have plenty of time to enjoy one of these places.

This cool splash pad features sprinklers, fountains, and water buckets, plus plenty of ways for the kids to interact with the area.

Details: Brandi Fenton Park is located at 3482 East River Road in Tucson. The splash pad is open from 7am to 7pm and is free!

This park in the East Valley has a simple yet cute splash pad. Your kids will enjoy running through the fountains and watching the elephant periodically spray water from its snout.

Details: Desert Breeze Park is located at 660 North Desert Breeze Boulevard in Chandler. The splash pad is open from 9am to 7pm through August, and then from 10am to 6pm through October.

Enchanted Island Amusement Park/Facebook

This little amusement park is a fun spot for kids and their guardians. The seasonal Splash Zone is equally fun with water buckets, sprinklers, and little fountains.

Details: Enchanted Island is open Friday through Sunday from 5pm to 8:30pm. Admission is free but an all-day access to the Splash Zone will cost you $5.

Doesn’t this splash pad look like fun? This cool little spot features tons of spraying nozzles, water buckets, and fountains.

Details: Heroes Regional Park is located at 5850 West Glendale Avenue in Glendale. The splash pad is free and open daily from 11am to 7pm until August 14. After that, it is open weekends from 11am to 6pm until September 5.

Details: Marana Heritage River Park is located at 12205 North Tangerine Farms Road in Marana. The splash pad is open daily from 8am to 7pm.

This West Valley park not only has a great playground and amazing picnic area but the splash pad is pretty cool too! There are several little structures on the pad for the little ones to play with and shading to keep everyone cool.

Details: Rio Vista Park is located at 8866 West Thunderbird Road in Peoria. The splash pad is open through October 15 from 10am to 8pm.

This large park near the Mesa-Tempe border has one fantastic splash pad large enough for your family and plenty of others. While the kids run around in the water, you can chill under the shaded seating area nearby.

Details: Riverview Park is located at 2100 West Rio Salado Parkway in Mesa. The splash pad is open daily from 9am to 10pm.

While not exactly a splash pad thanks to several inches of water covering the floors here, the children’s area has plenty of areas to enjoy. This includes plenty of sprinklers, a slide, and a little jungle gym to really get into water fun!

Details: Valley Aquatic Center is located at 4381 West 18th Street in Yuma. It is open until September 27 on weekends from 1pm to 5:45pm.
