Did you know Arizona is home to three distinct wine regions? Vineyards and wineries in Sonoita, Willcox, and the Verde Valley have been producing award-winning wines for years now and the opportunity to spend a weekend sampling some fantastic, well-aged wines in a scenic environment sounds like a dream. If that’s how you would like to spend an ideal weekend in the Grand Canyon State, read on for some great little wineries that can be found in Arizona’s small towns.
Most people tend to recognize this tiny town for its status as Arizona’s most haunted town, but it happens to have incredible food and wine options as well. This particular tasting room is located on the busy Main Street, featuring espresso drinks in the morning and wine tastings and snacks in the afternoons and evenings.
Located about a 30-minute drive southeast from Tucson, this vineyard is located in a scenic area of the Sonoran Desert with beautiful mountains in the background. Don’t forget to grab a luxurious picnic basket here to enjoy with your wine tasting!
This vineyard can be found in Willcox, one of Arizona’s ranching communities. You’ll find a great selection of award-winning red and white wines that you can sample with cheese plates.

Founded by former Air Force pilots, Flying Leap is located in a picturesque spot of southern Arizona where you can sip on a variety of wine and spirits.
If you prefer to sample a variety of Arizona-made wines, you’ll want to check out this tasting room cooperative located in downtown Clarkdale. You’ll enjoy tasting the wines of both established and up-and-coming Arizona winemakers in the historic setting of Clarkdale’s old bank.
This family-owned vineyard and tasting room is located on picturesque land in Chino Valley, north of Prescott. You can sip on some certified organic wines of your choice in a lush, relaxing environment, and you might even spot a peacock roaming the property!

The name of this winery gives a quirky vibe to this cozy tasting room and we bet you will love the food and wine offered here. Javelina Leap is located on a fully functional vineyard where the entire wine-making process is completed on-site and you can sip on the tasty result of that long process.
