Arizona has no shortage of beautiful places. It seems that no matter where you go, you’re bound to find some breathtaking sight, whether it’s a towering mountain, a stretch of desert landscape, or an incredible display of wildflowers and rock formations. In between all those places are quite a few Arizona towns that are beauties as well.
We could probably make a long list of cities and towns that are naturally beautiful—in fact, you’re probably imagining your favorite right about now! Instead of choosing one of the popular spots that’s constantly talked about, we are going to focus on just one place that tends to be underrepresented for its natural and urban beauty.
Today, we're looking at the city that is often called "Everybody's Hometown" and the official Christmas Town of Arizona: Prescott. Combining a beautiful natural setting with the rugged history of the Old West, Prescott definitely ranks as one of the most beautiful places in Arizona.
Here, you'll find a place where the desert meets the pines. The dramatic landscapes are underrated and you'll find delightful weather throughout the year.
One of the key areas that adds a unique flair to Prescott is the Granite Dells. The huge boulders are an unusual find and Watson Lake makes this area appear even more special.
A couple of trails surround the Dells and an afternoon on the water is time well spent. You'll also have the chance to spot wildlife who frequent the lake and creeks.
Another nearby lake that's great for boating, fishing, or camping is Lynx Lake. Surrounded by tall pines, it's a great spot to visit for cooling down in the summer.
