Watch Your Next Movie At Arizona’s Last Drive-In Theatre

When was the last time you visited a drive-in theater? As a child enjoying a night out with family? Or perhaps as a teenager enjoying fleeting moments of adult-like freedom? I think most people over the age of 30 have at least some memory of attending a drive-in with family, friends, or on a date.

The West Wind Glendale Drive-In is located near Grand Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Glendale.

It may be the last drive-in theatre in the state but it's still going strong! You'll find it busy and filled with all kinds of people ready to watch back to back showings once the sun sets.

If it's been awhile since you've been to a drive-in, things still operate similarly to how they always have. Pay at the front, drive up to an empty space, then tune in to an FM station for the sound.

Of course, no visit to a theatre is complete without a trip to the concession stand!

Here, you can get a massive bucket of popcorn to share.

Or grab a hot dog, soft pretzel, or plenty of other treats to keep your tummy happy during the two shows.

If you have kids who tend to get antsy, there's a playground on the premises to keep them entertained until the movie starts!

The theatre occasionally holds free movie nights and pre-movie events for the family. They have games, contests, face painting, and plenty of other fun things.

Once you have your treats and the kids had a chance to run around, you just need to wait for that sun to finish setting so the movie can start!
