I have had a raging sweet tooth ever since I was a wee toddler, so I tend to go a bit crazy for all kinds of sweets: licorice, taffy, and especially chocolate. While my taste buds have matured a bit over the years, there’s nothing quite like biting into a delicious, creamy stick of chocolate.
But you know what can make that experience even more special? Getting a chance to tour the facility that makes that delectable treat and even get a chance to engage in the process for yourself!
Zak's Chocolate is a family-owned chocolate factory and shop that specializes in creating small-batch sweets.
But the most amazing part is getting a chance to learn how the chocolate is made, tour the factory, and even make some of your own to take home! Zak's offers three tour experiences.
Depending on the experience you choose, you can learn more information about chocolate in general, tour the facility and watch a demonstration, or get a chance to make your own. Each one comes gives you a chance to participate in a chocolate tasting with delicious samples.
Each experience starts by providing you with some in-depth knowledge about the process of chocolate making, from roasting the beans to the creamy bar we all love.
Zak’s Chocolate is located at 6990 East Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale. You can find details about the variety of tours and even order some of their small-batch chocolates by visiting their website, zakschocolate.com.
