Arizona has no shortage of beauty and that certainly extends to both natural and human-made structures in the state. If you want to spend a weekend in paradise with luxurious service and food, you’ll want to check out this beautiful, historic resort Arizona.
The Arizona Biltmore Hotel sits in the heart of Phoenix, just south of Piestewa Peak, and is one of the most renowned hotels in our state for both its beauty and luxury.
The hotel resort opened in 1929 and designed by Albert Chase McArthur. However, his former employer Frank Lloyd Wright is often attributed as the hotel’s architect.
The confusion is multi-layered. The design clearly has a Prairie School influence (thanks to McArthur working alongside Wright for several years) and some of the details come from Wright some decades after the hotel was originally built.
You will find the garden sprites and stained glass are Wright designs. Some of the restaurants use Wright’s name and he purportedly even tried to claim design authorship.
Despite the confusion, the Biltmore has been a site of luxury and comfort for more than 88 years. Let's check it out!
Not only is the decor beautiful but you'll find it rich in details and hidden areas. One example: the speakeasy! When you manage to find it, you'll need a password to get in and enjoy lounging with other hotel patrons.
You can even bring along your best buddy! The hotel is known for its pet-friendly accommodations and even a special menu for your furry friend. Plus, with 39 acres of land, there's plenty of room for play time.
Arizona Biltmore Hotel is located at 2400 East Missouri Avenue in Phoenix. You can details about accommodations, restaurants, spas, and more at the hotel by checking out their website, arizonabiltmore.com.
