Alamo Lake State Park is among Arizona's best-kept secrets. To start, it's about 40 miles from the nearest outpost of Wenden.
The crown jewel of the park is the crystal-clear Alamo Lake. Those interested in fishing will enjoy this premier bass destination, although you don't have to be an angler to enjoy all that this park has to offer.
Alamo Lake State Park is also situated at a higher elevation, so temperatures can drastically drop at night if you decide to camp. Just look at how beautiful the sunset is here!
