Have you ever gone to a restaurant only to discover that nothing on the menu sounds good? That problem doesn’t exist here at Rehab Burger Therapy, which features more than 25 different burgers. From peanut butter, jelly, and bacon to spicy mac ‘n cheese and everything in between, rest-assured everyone leaves the table nothing less than happily stuffed.
Originating in Old Town Scottsdale, Rehab Burger Therapy appears, at first glance, to be a laid-back, summery dive that probably serves light fare such as salads and smoothies. If presumptions like that have ever caused you to keep driving right on by, we're here to dispel them.
Opened in 2012 by three best friends, this hip and happening space is a place where people go to heal from workday stress. After all, there are few ailments a gourmet burger can't fix.
Make sure your taste buds are all buckled in — it's about to be a wild ride. Despite how indulgent "The Porkster" looks, it happens to be one of the restaurant's mildest concoctions. It's a burger grilled your way before getting smothered in cheddar and homemade BBQ pulled pork. Are you salivating yet? If not, keep scrolling and prepare for the inevitable.
By far Rehab's most popular menu item, this behemoth features a heaping scoop of spicy mac 'n cheese made with pepper jack, poblanos, jalapenos, and green chiles. Oh, and let's not forget the generous drizzle of Sriracha to finish the job.
Is there anything better than a good, old-fashioned PB&J? Actually, yes: add bacon, Sriracha sauce, and a thick, juicy burger patty, and you've just given everyone's favorite childhood sandwich a major upgrade. I mean, look at those glorious pools dripping down onto the plate.
Other popular burgers include the Hatch Chile, Mushroom Swiss, and Jalapeno Popper. Alternatively, patrons can build their own concoction, adding any desired toppings to a blank canvas of lettuce, onions, and tomato.
Are you one of the few Americans who doesn't enjoy a good burger? We may never fully understand that sentiment, but Rehab is more than happy to provide other selections. Hot dogs, tacos, cold sandwiches, and salads are available as well.
Skipping a dessert this drool-worthy would be simply unacceptable. Dubbed the "Pot Brownie" (before you get any ideas, its name comes from the cast-iron pot used for serving) is slathered in marshmallow fluff, vanilla ice cream, milk chocolate, and peanut butter.
When you're done eating, grab a seat at the bar and wash everything down with some high-quality booze. With so many options, several visits will be in order to experience them all.
