October is spooky season, and lucky for us, there’s a historic VRBO in Arizona that will get you in the spirit in no time. Best of all, it's in Jerome, the notoriously haunted historic mining town. Get ready for a spooktacular stay at The John Riordan House! Built in 1898, this home was lived in and eventually abandoned and buried for more than 60 years. Once it was unearthed, it was restored and turned into the lovely 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom vacation rental it is today. This is certainly one of the most unique vacation rentals in Arizona, and we dare you to spend the night.

By the time November rolls around, much of northern Arizona already looks like a winter wonderland. What are the best towns for getaways in Arizona?
While each and every city and town offers unique getaways, here are the top favorite towns for getaways in Arizona:
Sedona: With its iconic red rock landscape, resorts, spas, and hiking, Sedona is one of the top vacation destinations in the state.
Scottsdale: I live here and can attest to the fact that it’s an excellent getaway destination. With top-notch restaurants, nightlife, spas, luxury hotels, and shopping, Scottsdale can’t be beat.
Flagstaff: Skiing and snowboarding aside, Flagstaff is an excellent year-round getaway destination. With epic hiking and attractions like the Lowell Observatory, there’s always something to do in Flagstaff.
What are some of the best hotels in Arizona?
Where do I begin? Scottsdale and Phoenix alone have remarkable hotels but there are many others around the state worth mentioning. Here are a few:
Hotel Valley Ho (Scottsdale): This mid-century modern hotel is my favorite. Not only are the rooms comfortable and furnished in the way I would love to decorate my house, but its restaurant and lounge, Zuzu’s, offers incredible cuisine, over-the-top milkshakes, and an excellent menu of cocktails for an evening of fun.
Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa (Tucson): People come from all over the world to this wellness resort in Southern Arizona. With luxury accommodations, spa treatments, gourmet dining, and a focus on your health and well-being, you’ll leave here refreshed.
Fairmont Scottsdale Princess (Scottsdale): Known for its magical holiday light festival, this luxury hotel is an incredible getaway any time of the year. With several restaurants on-site as well as a spa and an incredible pool, you won’t want to check out.
