Where can I go on an amazing wilderness hike in Alaska? 

Well, an easier question would be where can’t you? Some of Alaska’s amazing trails do stand out as some of the best, though; for example, the Rabbit Lake Trail is a moderately difficult trail that climbs through breathtaking views of the Alaskan wilderness. Another trail popular among backpackers is the South Fork Eagle River Trail, which is ten miles of Alaskan perfection. For more experienced hikers, we recommend the Powerline Pass Trail to Hidden Lake. It’s quite challenging – particularly the couple of miles leading up to the lake – but trust us when we say it’s so very worth the effort!  

What are some day trips in Alaska I can take?  

Alaska is a gigantic state with plenty to do and see. There are countless day trips to be had. For example, you could put together a list of waterfalls in any given county or region and visit them all in the same day. You could drive on some of the state’s most scenic highways and byways, like the Alaska Marine Byway or the Glenn Highway National Scenic Byway. The Sterling Highway is also particularly amazing. There is! The Alaska Railroad offers all kinds of train-based adventures to kill an afternoon with. It offers things like special events, tours, and simple travel. It spans an impressive 400 miles in length. The Alaska Railroad offers bunches of themed tours in different regions, like the unforgettable National Parks Adventure tour and the “best of” Denali and Kenai tour. There are plenty more, but you get the idea. It’s a great way to take in the immense beauty of Alaska and the Alaskan wilderness.
