There Is No Chapel In The World Like This One In Alaska
Alaska isn’t exactly known for blending in with the crowd. Our businesses are unique, our people are courageous, our land is rugged and even our churches find a way to stick out from the norm. Take this tiny little church in Soldotna, Alaska for example. With just three pews and a handful of bibles, this tiny church gives locals unlimited access to God in a quaint and charming space.

Head to the tiny town of Soldotna on the Kenai Peninsula and turn right to head down the Kenai Spur Highway from Soldotna heading towards the town of Kenai. On the right side of the road you'll find this tiny little church is managed by the Trinity Christian Center, a much larger domed church off in the distance that sits back and to the right of the tiny church.

The story behind this tiny little church is that the larger church (located to in the back) was only set to be open certain hours, so this tiny church could provide 24/7 access to God for those looking to seek his comfort. It was intended to be open all hours of the day and night so that those who wanted a quiet place to pray would always have a place to do that here. However, when we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon in September, we were surprised to find that the door to the chapel was locked and we were unable to enter.

As you'll find upon pulling up, the outside of this tiny church is very sweet and charming. In the summer and fall you'll find fresh flowers in baskets on each side of the entrance.

A white rock pathway leads up to the front door. A cross tops this tiny building that was beautifully designed to be a quaint and peaceful chapel. The chapel is filled with lots of natural light from over 10 windows that let in plenty of sunshine and sparkling rays from above.

Inside the tiny church visitors will find three pews, song books and Bibles. It is a small, neatly organized space that is kept immaculately clean. Best of all; it provides locals with unlimited access to God.
