Froth & Forage Coffeehouse and Eatery was founded in 2016 by Chef Zachary Reid. He studied and worked at restaurants for years before returning to Alaska to start his own. In 2012, he won the prestigious Vermont Chef of the Year Award.
The restaurant is perched on the side of the Seward Highway with a fantastic view of the Turnagain Arm. With a mission of environmental conservation and fresh Alaskan foods, this restaurant honors the land and the food it provides.
They offer a menu of organically grown, harvested wild, locally farmed, and seasonal foods. Sourced from both Alaska and Pacific Northwest farmers, fisherman and foragers, it is one of the few farm-to-table restaurants in Alaska.
The dining area is classic and comfortable with just 8 tables. The owner made the furniture himself! There are a more tables out on the deck for sunny, warm days.
Start your day off right with Alaskan wildberry pancakes made of Alaskan grown grains and topped with fresh whipped cream.
Locals are raving about the Forager's Benedict, a mountain of layered avocado, poached egg, and roasted tomatoes all swimming in a perfect hollandaise sauce with a beautiful salad topped with pickled red onions alongside.
Fuel up for mountain adventures with steak and poutine of local Yukon Gold potatoes.
Reindeer Tacos are a popular and frequent lunch special. Avocados are a noted acception to the "locally sourced" idea, but who can live without avocados?

And don't forget a cup of coffee from the excellent local roaster The Black Cup. The drive-through coffee window is open in the mornings.
