Located in the charming town of Cooper Landing, this beautiful restaurant and inn is right on the shores of Kenai Lake. Eat here and spend the night at their charming inn, or head back on the road to your final destination, satisfied and full!
If you're cruising down the Sterling Highway and looking for a great stop to grab a bite to eat, the Sunrise Inn and Cafe is a perfect stop!
This incredible place is actually an original Alaskan Roadhouse, and was built in 1952, one year after Cooper Landing was connected to Anchorage by a new road. After 68 years of serving people delicious food, they definitely have it dialed in!
The Sunrise Cafe is filled with all of your favorite breakfast and lunch items.
Their breakfast menu is filled with items like omelets, thick and delicious pancakes, and fun twists like blueberry french toast. You can also order classics like scrambled eggs, or their rich and savory biscuits and gravy.

With burgers, thick and hearty sandwiches, and sweet potato fries, it's easy to find something to love. Make sure to check out their daily specials, where they try to incorporate fresh Alaskan food like reindeer sausage, Alaska blueberries, or local seafood in the dish.
Surrounded by the Chugach National Forest, many people come to Cooper Landing to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. This cafe is the perfect spot to fuel up before your white water rafting adventure.
In fact, right next to the cafe you can find a general store that offers food to go prepared by the restaurant.
Their generous hours during the summer for food service in the bar area are Monday through Friday, 9:00 p.m. through 12:00 a.m. On the weekends they will serve from 9:00 p.m. through 2:00 a.m.!
The cafe is open all year long, and seven days a week; one of the only restaurants in Cooper Landing to do so.
From October 1st through May 15th, their hours run from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. May 16th through June 10th, they extend their hours to 8:00 a.m. through 8:30 p.m. Summer runs from June 11th through September 14th, and their hours grow to 7:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m. In the fall they shorten the hours again, and from September 15th through October 1st they're open 8:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.
