Stormy Lake Swimming Beach is a great beach to hit before summer is completely over. The views will mesmerize you, and you will probably have the beach to yourself to swim in the great outdoors.
Driving Directions:
Take the Seward Highway South, at the Seward Cut-off, bear to the right and take the Sterling Hwy. In Soldotna, bear to the right onto the Kenai Spur Highway.
This gorgeous lake is a perfect place to go swimming in Alaska. This large, clear lake is fifty feet deep and surrounded
by spruce and alder forest.
Nine miles north of the little town of Nikiski, and 25 miles north of Kenai, the Stormy Lake Swimming Beach has plenty of parking and easy, direct water access for water crafts. The lake is open with a new boat launch area and remodeled facilities.
It is also known by the name 'Three Bays Lake' because it is three semi-separated areas, connected by channels. Check out all three by water craft or hike along the shore for a relaxing day in nature.

s too cold to swim, this beach park offers a variety of recreation activities including picking the berries that grow abundantly in the area and looking out for interesting birds and wildlife as you relax in the serene setting.
Beach combing is another popular activity, and you may find interesting bones, glass floats, or other beach treasures. The pebble covered beach is also popular with agate hunters who seek beautiful gems amongst the rocks.
Bring the whole family and spend the day swimming and playing in the cool, fresh air. Swim or wade in the water, and then while away the afternoon picnicking in the pavillion.
