On December 9, 2017, Valdez experienced the snowstorm of a lifetime. The incredibly heavy snowfall hit the coastal town and the mountains above, steadily dumping heavy, wet snow for an hour and a half. It turns out that this is one of the most extreme snowfalls on record.
