The Roadhouse was built in 1982 and is best known as a stop on the Iron Dog Classic snowmachine race. This backcountry paradise is the perfect place for a truly wild Alaskan adventure.

The hostess Cindi Herman is a lifelong Alaskan and by all accounts, an excellent cook. The lodge is warm and welcoming, with the scent of home cooking always wafting through the air.
Guests all have private rooms with shared bath. There are two private cabins separate from the main lodge, as well. The friendly staff will accommodate groups of all sizes and any special requests with advance notice.
Don't worry that this remote location will lack of the comforts of the city. They have running water and electricity as well as Direct TV, high-speed internet, and decent cellular service.
The area is a wonderland of Alaskan adventures. Go camping along the nearby rivers, take one of the many fishing trip options, go hunting with a skilled guide, take a small plane to a glacier, or just lounge at the lodge for a peaceful escape.
Any time of year, an evening bonfire is perfect way to end an evening of Alaskan adventure. There is a fire pit right outside the lodge where folks roast marshmallows most every night and make smores.
