You must stop by and check out this iconic place!
The Santa Claus House found its beginning as a trading post in 1952.
The owners, Con and Nellie Miller, arrived in the area with two children and only $1.40 in their pocket in 1949. After a stint as a fur trader, Con started dressing up like St. Nick each Christmas, and soon opened his trading post with the name "Santa Claus House."
The infamous Santa that stands outside the store was actually crafted in the 1960's.
Brought to where he stands in 1983, he is a mainstay that greets customers all day long. Standing at an impressive 50 feet tall, he weights over 900 pounds and boasts a girth of 33 feet around!
