If you are a believer in the afterlife, you’ll be amazed by all these well-known places in Alaska where you’re likely to spot a ghost or a looming spirit. Drive down a country road, visit an old restaurant site, go to a local high school, stop by the performing arts auditorium or go for the gold and stay overnight in a haunted hotel. Whatever you do, be sure to stay safe and sleep with one eye open.

It is said that there is a lady in white that haunts the halls in this school, and can occasionally be seen drawing the curtains open and closed.
There is an old story about a father and daughter in the woods who were out collecting wood for the winter weather. The young girl accidentally picked up the ax and dropped it on herself, killing herself instantly. The father later froze to death as he gripped her body tightly and didn't let go, even into the night.
Many locals and visitors alike have reported seeing an old man named Author here. He is said to appear to be walking around tending to the graves in the middle of the night. The old unmarked graves at the back of the cemetery are said to be from those who came to the last frontier during the gold rush era.
It might be the nearby psychiatric ward or the youth correctional facility that add to the ominous nature surrounding the rumors that the Wendy Williamson Auditorium is haunted.
