Though Alaska didn’t enter statehood until 1959, there were still plenty of established restaurants and bakeries all over the state from when it was a territory. The gold rush brought many people up to Alaska and those mouths had to be fed! The restaurants that are still standing today have clearly stood the test of time, but with all the nooks and crannies around our state it’s hard to find them all.
