There are so many great hikes throughout the Last Frontier, and this mountain hike in Alaska is no exception. If you’re traveling to Juneau, then this fabulous little hike needs to make it on to your to do list. Pack your bags, throw on your sneakers, and get ready to enjoy this hidden gem in the Tongass National Forest.
They take you over riversides, keep you up and above muddy areas, and generally lend an air of mystery and beauty to this hike into the Alaskan backcountry.
This easy trail is only .9 miles long, out and back, but you may find it takes you longer than you expect because you’ll keep stopping to take it all in.
You’ll spot waterfalls along the trail, cascading down the mountainside as you travel along the boardwalk.
It’s a wonderful day hike for just about anyone in your group, including kids, and even your dogs! Pack some rain gear in case the weather changes, and enjoy your day out in the mountains.
The next time you’re in Juneau, this hike needs to be at the top of your list.
