This stunning little town of 5,000 residents sits on the edge of the ocean in Kachemak Bay. The nearby mountain ranges are filled with glaciers, lending the whole town a magical feel.
This tiny town is world famous for its halibut fishing.
In fact, it’s known as the "Halibut Fishing Capital of the World!" Many of the wonderful things to do in this area incorporate the sea. And with the Pacific Ocean right on your doorstep, this is a great place to do it!
