Located just a half an hour outside of Seward, Alaska, this historic cabin built by gold miners in the early 1900s, and reconstructed in 2016, has just enough room for two. Tucked away in the Chugach National Forest is a historic little cabin that’s the perfect spot to escape from it all.
A one bedroom, one bath cabin with enough room for two provides a cozy weekend retreat. Gaze out at the mountains while you finish your beverage of choice on their front deck or picnic table.
The original cabin was built in 1906 at Lower Summit Lake.
It was moved to Moose Pass in the 1940s. Your host purchased the property that the cabin was on, and was disassembled and reconstructed in 2016, before being turned into the beautiful cabin you see here.

Even though the cabin is only 12x18 feet, it has all the amenities you need.
There’s a lovely little table for two, and a ladder up to the loft. Due to the steepness of the ladder, the cabin isn’t recommended for small children, elderly, or those with mobility issues.
There’s a large and cozy queen bed in the loft area.
