The Lower Dewey Lake Trail In Alaska brings you through incredible scenery and on a trail that has fireweed popping right along the lakeside. The is one hike that’s beautiful year long, but extra special when the firewood is in bloom.

In fact, the trailhead is right by the train station, and easy to access. This is a short, great hike if you want to spend the morning or afternoon enjoying everything Alaska has to offer.
This trail spends most of its time paralleling the gorgeous Lower Dewey Lake Trail.

It’s a three-mile loop that brings you up to the lake before depositing you back downtown. The views will take your breath away all along the way.
The trail is well marked and easy to follow.
