If you’re looking for an incredible dining experience, you need to visit a legendary steakhouse in Alaska, AJ’s Steakhouse and Tavern. Located in Old Town, Homer, this epic spot has been serving up some of the best steaks in the state for 80 years! This restaurant even pre-dates Alaska’s statehood.
If you’re looking for the best steak in Alaska, then you need to head to Homer.
The steak itself is amazing. In fact, AJ’s Steakhouse claims to be serving up the top 2% of USDA prime beef offered in the nation! Which means you’re going to get the best of the best when you dine here.
Check the menu for their fresh Alaska seafood options, and if you can’t decide between either, get both! There’s quite a few combination platters that will satisfy your steak and seafood cravings.
It’s not the fanciest place in town, but it’s comfortable and the food is delicious. And their famous martinis are a perfect pair to almost anything on the menu.
You’ll find local Alaska seafood aplenty: fresh scallops, king crab, halibut, and Alaska salmon are all featured on the menu.
If you’re looking for something a little lighter, try the French dip or Philly cheesesteak; both served with USDA prime rib. AJ's takes great pride in boasting a varied and delicious menu, and it shows.
Join them on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 4:00 p.m.8ii until close. This restaurant is currently closed Sundays and Mondays.
