One of the most amazing things about Alaska is the wildlife that we enjoy every day. While we often spot moose, elk, and even bears in the wild, we don’t typically get up close to them. Visit the Kroschel Wildlife Center for an opportunity to see moose up close – along with bears, wolves, foxes and other animals.
You'll find the Kroschel Wildlife Center in Haines, Alaska. To get there, take the Haines Highway to Mosquito Lake Road. In 1.8 miles, you'll see the signs for the wildlife center.
The owner of the wildlife center, Steve Kroschel, is a naturalist and filmmaker who has dedicated his life to caring for these animals and educating the public about them. You'll definitely want to pay a visit to this beautiful sanctuary to say hello to him and meet the animals he cares for.
For more information about the Kroschel Wildlife Center, visit its website. Have you visited this amazing wildlife center? We’d love to hear about your visit!
