This incredible cabin tower in Alaska is both insane and filled with mysteries. Until a few years ago, everyone had seen this incredible feat of architecture, but no one really knew where it came from or why. Turns out that this amazing structure is called Goose Creek Tower and is the property of Phil Weidner, an Anchorage attorney. The house has remained unfinished for 15 years, but he is still working on it.
The cabin tower has been a sight of interest to visitors for many years. Parts of the house were built on the ground and set into place with a crane. From the top on a clear day, the cabin offers a 360-degree view of Denali, the Homer Spit, and the start of the Aleutian chain. Someday, he plans to have a telescope and the Goose Creek Free Radio station broadcasting out of the top. The tower has a mysterious escape hatch in the bottom that leads to a safe room! This is truly the most insane cabin tower in Alaska.
You can see the tower at a distance from the Parks Highway or while riding the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Denali. For a better view, take a chartered flight out of Talkeetna to see Denali and ask them to fly over the “Dr. Seuss House”!
