Chena Hot Springs Resort has actually been around for 115 years, and they encourage you to come and relax in their beautiful hot springs. In January of 2005, their ice museum was completed and became open to the public.
This museum is actually the world's largest year-round ice environment.
They used over 1,000 tons of ice and snow to build all the magnificent ice sculptures and designs you will admire once you enter. And all of this ice and snow was harvested right on the property, and brought into the museum!
The Aurora Ice Bar is completely carved out of ice, with cool neon lighting shining through.
There are plenty of ice stools for you to rest on, and when you start the tour you will be given a large parka to use to ward off the cold. The interior stays at a steady 25 degrees all year long.
This is a unique opportunity to drink a fabulous Appletini out of a thick, hand carved martini glass made out of ice.

Tickets to get into the Aurora Ice Museum are $15.00 for ages 12 and older, and $10.00 for youth between the ages of 6 and 10.
Kids below the age of 5 years of age have free admission, as long as they go in with a paying adult. Make sure you purchase your ticket ahead of time, at least 15 minutes before the tour starts!
