Alaska is THE premier state to get away to if you’re a fan of winter. There are all sorts of reasons to visit Alaska in wintertime other than just the snow, like the northern lights, for example. They’re most common between September and April, and they’re a bucket list item for sure. Alaska is also full of awesome winter festivals and traditions, like dog sledding, and the ten-day Fur Rondy Festival. Pick any one of Alaska’s premier ski resorts and relax for days, or maybe book an Airbnb and fall in love with some of Alaska’s most beautiful small towns.
