There’s a stunning trail right on the edge of downtown Juneau that will take you down a gorgeous boardwalk all the way to a waterfall. The Gold Creek Flume Trail in Alaska is a must-see, especially if you only have an hour to kill but you want to get a taste of what the area has to offer. With breathtaking scenery, an easy boardwalk to hike, and waterfalls at the finish, this is the perfect morning or afternoon activity to do with the whole family.
There’s a trail that takes you through the woods right on the outskirts of downtown Juneau.
In fact, this trail is great to do all year long, even in the snow. And keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, because you may see a moose, deer, or bear during your travels.
This stunning feature is a draw for many of the hikers who want to travel on the trail. Pack a picnic, sit away, and enjoy the view when you reach the perfect spot.
The trail starts right at the end of Evergreen Avenue, and it’s easy to access.
Since it’s so close to all the action, it’s the perfect activity if you only have a little bit of time to spare. And it’s easy to walk to the trailhead, as it’s so close to downtown Juneau.
