It's held each February in the lead up to the Iditarod. Fur Rondy is celebrated for ten long days, until the Sunday after the start of the Iditarod.

Over the course of ten days, there are almost 50 different events, all fun, wacky, and a great way to brighten a winter's day. There are also 20 cultural and sporting activities and events, like the Running Of The Reindeer.

For 13 years, this has been the perfect event for the whole family to enjoy. The costumes the runners wear are fun to spot and make it easy to watch.

For $30.00 you can have the thrill of a lifetime running away from the sprinting reindeer. You can also purchase a commemorative t-shirt for $10.00 if you want to remember this event in style! The best part is that the funds raised are donated to Toys for Tots.

Stick around for fireworks, snow sculptures, a carnival, and so much more. There are even a couple more races, including the Frostbite Footrace, and the crazy Outhouse Races!

If you can only hit a couple of events during Fur Rondy, Running With The Reindeer should make the top of your list!
