If you’re looking for a getaway in the Last Frontier, this foodie resort in Alaska should be at the top of your list. Located in Girdwood, Alyeska Resort is the premier resort in the state. With six different places to enjoy delicious food, you won’t go hungry during your stay. So pack your bags and head on out to one of the most beautiful spots in Alaska.
Alyeska Resort is Alaska’s premier year-round destination.
The resort features over 300-rooms, a saltwater pool, Alaska’s best ski mountain, and six mouthwatering restaurants. This resort is a must-visit if you’re anywhere near Girdwood.
Start your day at the Tramway Cafe, where you can get a cup of your favorite Kaladi Brothers Coffee, and breakfast to go. Choose from breakfast burritos, house-made pastries, or stop by for a quick lunch of a slice of pizza or hot grilled paninis.
Looking for a mid-day meal, or to finish off a long day skiing or hiking the mountain? Head on over to Carve and one of their grab-and-go options. Feast on sandwich wraps, chicken pot pie, and Alyeska Bison Chili. And check in to see what specials they have running, too.
If you’re looking for a casual meal at the top of the mountain, head straight to the Bore Tide Deli & Bar. Located at the top of the tram, and boasting panoramic views of the mountains across the valley, this deli offers delicious soups, sandwiches, and comfort food. Add a cocktail from the bar, and lunch is served.
Sakura Asian Bistro is a gorgeous restaurant offering fresh seafood and meats, creative sushi, and cocktails. Their signature dishes include seasonal fish, Waygu beef, king crab, Alaskan seafood, crispy pork belly, and even hand-crafted specialty rolls and sushi. If you’re thinking date night, this is the place to go!
If you’re in the mood for craft cocktails and artisanal wines, head on over to the Aurora Bar. The drinks are good, and so is the food: especially if you’re in the mood for Alaskan ingredients and seafood fresh from nearby waters.
The cream of the crop is the mountain-top spectacular Seven Glaciers. This four-diamond resort rests high above the clouds, offering an award-winning wine list and menu. A meal at this beautiful spot will be the highlight of your trip.
