• Denali Star Train: Alaska Railroad offers many train rides throughout the year. Some are aboard the Delani Star Train which runs from mid-May through mid-September. This is Alaska Railroad’s flagship train from where you can see incredible views of the astounding peak Denali, the tallest mountain in North America. The Aurora Winter Train runs on weekends from mid-September to mid-May. Along the way, the train stops in Wasilla, Talkeetna, and provides flagstop service (allows passengers to get on or off the train at any point with the wave of a flag) along the 50-mile stretch of the backcountry south of Hurricane Gulch. Further on, stops are made at Healy and Nenana before arriving at Fairbanks.
